Discover Savary Island

Savary Island, also known as Áyhus, is a hidden gem located in British Columbia, Canada. Situated in the northern part of the Strait of Georgia, it is 144 kilometres northwest of Vancouver. This picturesque island is approximately 0.8-1.5 km wide and 7.5 kilometres long, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and tranquility.

    Ways to Get There

    Travel Information Savary Island is accessible via multiple routes, ensuring a smooth journey to your island getaway.

    From Lower Mainland

    • BC Ferries: There are regular ferry services to get to Powell River from Vancouver. You will take two ferries, but you only pay for one. From Powell River, it's a 45-minute drive to Lund, where you can take a water taxi across with Lund Water Taxi, which also offers a land taxi service.

    From Vancouver Island

    • Discovery Launch Water Taxi: Provides one-way or return trips, whole boat or partial boat options, and is starting to offer prescheduled runs. 
    • Way West Water Taxi: Offers flexible travel options similar to Discovery Launch.
